The Society
The Abbeyfield Society was founded in 1959, in London as an expression of Christian concern for the increasing number of elderly people, who no longer feel able to look after themselves at home.
Since then, a number of voluntarily run, independent, local charities have followed suit and affiliated to a national Abbeyfield Society.
Abbeyfield Tonbridge is situated at the North of Tonbridge, close to the High Street, Tonbridge School, shops, churches and local theatre.
Charitable status and non profit making ensure that resident’s charges remain reasonable.
